1 Remains

February 11th, 2015

The ride over this morning was quite beautiful, as it snowed last night and warm temperatures made it foggy on the grassy terra firma.

We arrived at 8:15 to do another PET scan. San was locked behind a heavy, lead-centered door with a mixture of sugar and radiopharmaceutical injected into her veins. But, she got to watch the first part National Lampoon's Vacation (so she can't complain too much) while I sat in the cafe and worked a bit.

Then, we (Jessica now included) went to Mimi's Cafe for breakfast. The waitress was odd. Rather forgettable really. Then we went to DSW - or hell, as I call it - the lights make a painful buzzing sound and there's nowhere comfortable to sit.

Then we returned to Kaiser for the treatment. After today, only 1 chemo treatment remains.

Jessica has missed 3 of the treatments, and I mentioned it, which makes her violent. Here she is about to hit me -

Name the Tumor! {Post Your Suggestions}

January 21st, 2015

Today is taxol treatment #8. Only 4 left to go after this.

The chemo ward staff at Kaiser is the best. Truly. There's no other way to put it.

At this juncture, it seems we get more good news than bad. San is responding well to the treatment, her vitals are good, the tumor has shrunk.

There is one thing we need to do - name the tumor!

This way, when we throw an eviction party, we have a name to use, like, "Jimmy Jim is getting evicted on such and such date!" "See you in hell, Franky Noballs!" Something like that.

We invite you all who read this for your input on what to name this cantankerous tumor.

In other news - we celebrated Christmas. We celebrated the New Year. We celebrated Sadie's birth. We celebrated the love of beef by attending the National Western Stock Show. Typically, I have videos of all this kind of activity...but I guess I'm getting burned out on that. Only temporarily.
